Curriculum Vitae

Studied literary translation (French, English, German) at the Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf and the University of Aberdeen, Scotland; additional qualification to teach German as a foreign language.

From 2008, doctoral studies (German studies) at the Goethe University in Frankfurt; doctorate in translating ambiguous children's literature in the 1950s and 1960s.

Research assistant at the Institute for Youth Book Research (Goethe University Frankfurt) from 2010 to 2015; since 2016 research assistant at ALEKI and IDSL II (University of Cologne), since 2019 academic councillor (ALEKI/IDSL II).

Jury member of the special prize jury (translation) for the German Youth Literature Prize 2014, member of the jury for the German Academy for Children's and Youth Literature's Young Talent Prize since 2015, member of the Working Group Inclusion and Gender in the SDD.
